Frequently Asked Questions
Most likely, this is caused by bio-fouling. I.e. Barnacles, oysters and other hard growth. These little critters upset the hydrodynamic performance of your hull.
Hull cleanings are the best way to restore and maintain high performance.
No. At least not from what we’ve seen. Barnacles and oysters, have evolved over 20 million years and designed themselves to grow and flourish on surfaces that take a beating from the water. Think of how many barnacles or oysters you see falling off of a piling or rock when a wave slams it. They dont.
That’s a great question and of course one you should ask!
There’s a few answers to this question
Our rates are very competitive. We work hard to keep overhead low while not cutting corners to bring you exceptional service.
Our Service is given at its highest level because We PAY our divers what they earn per boat. We take care of them, so that they take CARE OF YOU!
This is one of the main drivers of our company culture.
We recommend monthly in most areas as a minimum. However this isn’t a rule of thumb. Some areas require a more aggressive schedule to keep ahead of the growth while others need only a more aggressive schedule seasonally. We can help you decide which way to go on this.
“That seems like a lot. Up north, I only did it once a year.”
The growth speed surprises many boaters coming from up North and the North East. Many boaters unfortunately wait too long before hiring a hull diver. The consequence is normally ruined paint.
Well you may have already read about our monthly and bi-weekly cleaning cycles. But that’s not all we do. We can customize a cleaning cycle to some boats.
Yes! After each cleaning!
Every cleaning comes with a boat report. Look for it attached to your invoice or in your email. If there’s anything serious or that we think may require urgent attention, we will call or text you directly as well.
YES
We carry a variety of zincs, including specific anodes for models of some manufactures such as Volvo, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Mercury. We can also special order zincs for your craft.
Yes
However, its highly recommended that if you are going to keep a boat in the water, that you bottom paint it. Boats with no bottom paint will require a minimum cleaning cycle of weekly cleanings. And even then, there is no guaranteeing the integrity of the hull.
Yes we do!

We do actually
These are a great alternative to regular hull cleanings. However, the machinery that reaches into the water still needs to be looked after from time to time.
